The Pittsburgh Pound Down Program is a year-long wellness program designed to help the employees within your company live their best life. We track the data against other companies which brings out employee competitiveness. The program has a built-in incentive program to reward particpants' hard work.
We kick off the program with Health Screenings – to get a baseline of where you stand. Then employees enter The PATH Program, developed by Dr. Will Clower. This is not your typical Nutrition Education program! We don’t count calories or weigh food.
Participants learn how to choose good, healthy, real food at the right portion to satiate hunger and nourish themselves. Discussions revolve around healthy recipes, grocery shopping and how to approach your food. Many participants with children say it is easy to incorporate at home!
Then, the program moves into the Fitness Challenge – all you do is move and input your data! Whether your thing is walking the dog, ballroom dancing or gardening, you can make a big difference in the success of your organization. Particpants will input data into an online application that tracks steps taken day–to–day. They can then view the progress they've made as they move through a virtual tour of Pittsburgh!
Through the different seasons, we deliver content–related sessions that help keep you and your family moving and eating right.
Nothing brings out a little competition like great rewards. Besides the obvious rewards of feeling great and looking great, we have put together prize packages that will be rewarded quarterly. One grand prize will be awarded quarterly. How does a trip to Italy or France to experience fine dining at it's best sound?
